Consumer health data policy
Version 1.0 · In force from 4 November 2026
For residents of Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada (SB 370) and Connecticut (CTDPA), and for anyone who wants to know how we handle this data. It complements the Privacy policy.
Summary
- The only health data we ask for is your sexual health (how you protect yourself, PrEP, tests, vaccines), and only if you add it yourself.
- We need two separate permissions: one to store it and another to show it to whoever sees your intimate side.
- We don't sell it or use it for advertising. We don't share it with third parties, except the hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf.
- Change your mind whenever you like: withdraw your permission and it disappears from the app instantly.
1. What health data we handle
| Data | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Sexual health | "Always with protection", "We talk about it first", "I take PrEP", "I get tested often", "Vaccinated (HPV, hepatitis, mpox)", "I'd rather not say" | You choose it in Your intimate side › Safer sex |
We don't ask for serological status (HIV or other infections), diagnoses, specific medication or treatments.
Other data that, under the law, could be considered health data if you choose it in visible fields: "Gluten-free" or "Lactose-free" diets, "No alcohol or drugs" in My limits, or a gender identity. We don't use it to infer anything about your health and we don't give it to third parties (advertisers, partners, buyers). It is shown to other people on miwuu because that is needed for the service you ask for when you fill it in: showing your profile. If you don't want it seen, don't fill it in.
We don't: infer your health from your activity, your photos or your location; create perimeters (geofences) around healthcare facilities; use your location for anything related to health.
2. What we use it for
Only to show your sexual health to whoever sees your intimate side (everyone, only my matches, only in chats I choose or nobody, as you choose). Nothing else.
3. Your two permissions
Before storing the data we ask you, on a separate sheet and with empty boxes:
- "I agree that miwuu stores my sexual health information." (permission to collect)
- "I agree that whoever sees my intimate side can see it, as explained in the privacy policy." (permission to share with other people on miwuu)
Without both, the field stays locked. Each permission says what data, what for, who sees it and how to withdraw it. We store the date, the time and the version of the text you accepted.
4. Who it is shared with
- Other people on miwuu, only the ones you choose.
- Supabase, which hosts the database, as a processor and under a contract that forbids it from using the data for anything else.
Affiliates: miwuu (Oscar Sanchez Medina, see Legal notice) has no affiliated companies.
It is not shared with advertisers, social networks, analytics, insurers, employers or data buyers. We don't sell health data.
5. Your rights
You can, free of charge:
- Know whether we hold health data about you, get a copy and the list of every third party that has received it (with their contact details).
- Withdraw your permissions: Settings › Privacy and protected data › Sexual health › Withdraw my permission. It disappears from the app at once.
- Delete your health data.
- Appeal if we refuse your request.
- Not be treated worse for exercising these rights.
How: from the app (Settings › Help and contact) or at privacy@miwuu.com with the subject "Health Data Request". To check it's you, we use your account; we don't ask you to create another one.
Appeal: write with the subject "Health Data Appeal". If you disagree, you can contact the Attorney General of Washington (www.atg.wa.gov), Nevada (ag.nv.gov) or Connecticut (portal.ct.gov/ag).
6. Security and access
Only the team members who need it to handle a request of yours or a report can access this data. It is kept in separate tables with restricted access and doesn't go to error reports or analytics.
7. Changes to this policy
The current version is the one published here with its date.
